Things You Need to Know
Our Therapy Groups
Parent Support Group (Parents of Pre-K – Elementary School Age Kids)
The group is designed for parents whose children have challenges with their behavioral/mental and emotional health. The group is one hour long and supervised and/or facilitated by licensed therapists and students. Parents will learn about the theme for the month as well as the activities that are conducted in the sessions. Parenting groups have been noted to augment the treatment of children who may be diagnosed with one or more behavioral and mental health problems, and it is recommended to improve treatment outcomes, as both parent and child develop the needed skills to improve their interactions, understand their conditions and learn lifelong coping skills to mitigate the future challenges that may arise.

Groups We Offer
Social Strides Group Program
Social Strides Group is designed to assist with improving overall self-esteem, communication skills, problem-solving skills, and conflict management skills for one’s social-emotional development. The focus of discussions and activities will include following directions, expectations, and perceptions in the group and how they affect your child and others’ behaviors. Your child will learn how to respond to situations by improving their listening skills, boundary setting, sharing, and empathy skills.
Social Strides is in a group setting for children from 4 to 16 years old. We have five groups representing the various age groups, and each session is an hour to an hour and 15 minutes long. Sessions are supervised and/or facilitated by licensed therapists and students. Parents will learn the theme of the month as well as the activities that are conducted in the sessions via a monthly newsletter given at the beginning of every month.
